Terms of Use

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Welcome to the Ham.Live @ N1CCK instance at nets.n1cck.radio, a free, personal, non-commercial service operated by Nick Booth (N1CCK) for the amateur-radio community. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

  • The service is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind and no commitment to uptime, support, or continued operation. It may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
  • The underlying software is open source under the MIT License and is likewise provided without warranty.

Your account and conduct

  • Provide accurate information, including a callsign you are licensed to use.
  • Use the service for amateur-radio-related purposes, consistent with the regulations that govern your license (for U.S. operators, the spirit of FCC Part 97 applies to on-air coordination conducted through this service).
  • No harassment, abuse, impersonation, unlawful content, or disruption of nets or of the service itself.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (check-ins, chat messages, profile details). You grant the operator a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content as needed to run the service — for example, showing your check-in to other net participants and including it in the net log delivered to the net owner.

Moderation and termination

The operator and net-control operators may remove content, close nets, or suspend or delete accounts at their discretion, particularly for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the in-app Data Privacy page.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (zero dollars). Nothing on this service constitutes legal, safety, or emergency guidance; amateur-radio operation remains solely your responsibility as the licensee.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator's state of residence. Terms may be updated from time to time; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Contact: nick@n1cck.us.
